Eur-Club.com on xpatloop.com
The week of September 22Nd the xpatloop.com news-portal announced that eur-club.com was launched:
Eur-Club is your club!
After living here for years and seeing the growth of the English speaking community and also the huge numbers of Hungarians speaking English I decided to create a place where all English speakers could meet and exchange ideas, do some business or schmooze and just have fun.
The new Eur-Club will open with a “One Last Summer Party” on Friday, September 26Th, 8:00PM at the Passage Club, VI District on Kiraly U 8.
There will be free welcome drinks, free snacks, prizes, music and free parking.
Eur-Club will be sponsoring many events in the upcoming months. “We're growing for you!”
I'm looking forward to meeting you all there,
Richard Rifkin
About eur-club Premiere Party
Well, Happy Party-Goers, the premier event of Eur-Club is now in the history books. According to feedback, it was a resounding success. A bigThank You to all our guests, friends and newcomers. We figured attendance was between 100 and 120, which is outstanding for a first event. It just goes to show us that this type of social gathering is still needed
in Budapest.
Even though the night of our party was also the opening event for the Passage Club, we apparently experienced only minor glitches in service and in the venue itself. Our host Istvan assures us that our next event will be even better and that any small concerns will be corrected. From now on everyone will be able to hear me as I hog the microphone to
give out the prizes and to make other special announcements. Please note that we WILL be giving out all prizes from the previous party. I will pick out a few business cards randomly in the next few days. Winners will be announced on this site and also on Facebook and IWIW. You will all be able to pick up your gifts at our next party, where you will have the chance to win even more great stuff.
SO - our next event. We have scheduled a Halloween Party for Thursday, October 30. We decided Thursday would give everyone the opportunity to get the most use out of your costumes. Also, you will have the chance to party one extra day and win more prizes. There will also be no entrance fee for this first Halloween party; it's just our way of saying
thanks for being such a wonderful crowd at our premier event.
Keep checking our new Eur-Club website for more detailed information about our Halloween party. www.eur-club.com I'm also happy to tell you we will again have free welcome drinks, free snacks, a two-for-one drink offer and free parking.
Please always feel free to get in touch with me at any time with your feedback and/or suggestions. You can each help us make certain that Eur-Club is what you want your club to be.
I would like to thank the special friends of eur-club. Amar owner of Shalimar Indian Restaurant, Tony and his Bestellers Bookshop, Istvan of Passage Club, and Bacardi Rum who all contributed gifts for prizes for our first event.
Last, but most certainly not least, I would like to thank a few special people who helped make our premier a success. Gary Lukatch and Nata Kroo for all their support and help in getting the word out to so many of you; Klari Pallaga who was by my side as I was tearing out my hair
trying to get this all ready for you, and did such a great job greeting you at the front door; our dear friend whom we miss so very much, the lovely Kerstin Sekimoto, now living in Tokyo, Japan who also invited so many of her friends; and Hori Gherman, my website and computer guy. Also thanks to Andras Kroo, Frank Aponyi, Ildiko Rekasi, Joe Havasi and all you wonderful guests.
See you at the Halloween party...Boo!
